Now that’s my kinda winter weather. Just like most skiers, I am an avid weather watcher / amature meterologist. Yeah, I know what your thinking, you just turn on the weather channel and hope theirs snow in the forecast. Well in some ways your right, but in most ways your wrong. I’ll tell you why your wrong. How many weather websites can you name? Are the 4 best ones all bookmarked for your home resort / backcountry? Nope. Just as I suspected. Take for example this Satellite loop from Intellicast on the Pacific, the best Satellite loop on the web IMOP, I am looking at right now. I can see the low clear up in the Alucian islands coming in about 10 days after this storm does it’s good. I can also see that it’s most likely going to bring in a load of moisture from the Hawaiian islands. It’s gonna dump, and I’m heading for the mountain. How do I know this. Because I watch. I study. I predicted. I am an amature meteorologist.
